The Scorecard
QR Code Scorecard grades QR code generators against one unforgiving rubric. Seven weighted criteria, letter grades from A to F, a composite GPA at the bottom of every column. The same rubric is applied to every tool, every cycle. There is no curve, no editor's pick, no soft grade.
Each tool is scored across scan reliability, dynamic-code support, analytics depth, branding flexibility, bulk and API access, 90-day uptime, and price per dynamic code. Weights are printed in the margin of every row. We refresh the field once a quarter — the current cycle is rubric v3.1, Q2 / 2026. Scores reflect what we measured under scan, not what the marketing site claimed.
The Editorial Wall
QR Code Scorecard earns money through affiliate links. When a reader clicks through and signs up for a paid plan, we may receive a commission. That revenue does not move grades. The rubric is set before the field test begins; commissions are reconciled after the scorecard is published. No vendor sees a draft. No vendor buys a row.
The audience here is operators — marketing leads who run physical-to-digital campaigns, ops people picking a tool for restaurant menus or event tickets, founders trying to figure out whether a free generator is good enough or whether the price of dynamic codes is worth it. The site exists to shorten that decision from a weeklong evaluation to a single page.
Corrections, tip-offs, and tools we should add to the next cycle go to [email protected]. If a grade in here is wrong, tell us how — we'd rather fix it than defend it.
